METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION
--------------------------


1. This spreadsheet records open access article processing charges paid from UCL’s Research Councils UK (UKRI) open access budget between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019, along with University of Kent’s overall compliance with the UKRI open access policy. 
The report was presented to UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) on 13 May 2019.

2. Clair Waller collected and collated the data using the library's spreadsheet of APC applications and approvals, the Kent Academic Repository, ResearchFish, financial and grants information
from Nigel Matthews in the Research Services department and responses from targeted emails sent to academics known to have received UKRI funding.
